I understand your need for currency, but this is just unfair for the people who are going to buy it cuz they didn’t get if for free early on. Yeah, I know we did a crappy job donating and this was probably the only turn you could take and quite possible the temptation was quite high. But still. Dissapointed.

Ladies & Gents;

EarthCore is still on Podiobooks.com for free. Some people would prefer to just download the thing in one big chunk. That’s what the iTunes option is for. Also, while all of you are very familiar with podcasting, it’s still a mystery to many people (if they even know about it at all). So for those people, if they find out about EarthCore, they can buy a print book, they can buy and audiobook with one-click purchasing, OR they can learn about podcasting.

Keep in mind that all my new material will be free - Infection won’t cost you a cent. Eventually, Ancestor will also go “backlist” like EarthCore did, and people will be able to buy it in print and on iTunes.

BOTTOM LINE:
You can get my free podcasts
You can buy my print books
You can buy my digital files on iTunes
You can buy an MP3 CD (still working on that).

So no matter what format the consumer wants, I want to be able to provide that format.

Scott, I’m VERY happy to hear that you’re making EarthCore available in this format, and better than that, you’re again breaking internet marketting ground with EarthCore…

For the whiners and complainers, think of this as a logically calculated move by a psychotic individual; a self-proclaimed retard who’s got us all hooked. No matter what the format, (or the price in some cases), the rotting corpse will attract more and more flies. Kinda like that movie, “If you build it, they will come.” Just be glad that he gives us this stuff for free in the first place and thank your lucky stars that he didn’t make Earthcore or Ancestor a Pay Per Download podcast.

Both your books were great. and the way i see it..the more money he makes, the better your podcast quality will improve. Scott did not do this for money, if he did, he would have charged from the get go. I for one am glad he will get paid for his breakthrough in the podcast world. He will not only give us his stories for free.. but he will also get paid by “us” to keep doing what he loves to do. Write great books.

I stumbled upon Earthcore when looking for podcasts after purchasing an iPod. I have since listened to Earthcore, Ancestor, and Infection. I have come to one single conclusion. You have one seriously twisted mind! Keep it up. I am hopelessly addicted! I can hardly wait for the sequels!
